My BA degree studies in Liverpool took place on Hope Street with a Cathedral at each end - one, the modern Catholic (with stunning John Piper windows) - and the other, Gilbert Scott's huge Anglican monolith. There was so much inspiration from both!  Since, I've combined professional illustration with part time secondary Art teaching. Latterly I've enjoyed devising and teaching courses for Adults to develop their drawing skills. Making stained glass windows has become another passion - a craft little changed for a millenia. As a family we have spent lucky, happy years on camping hols mooching around Cathedrals and churches in the UK, France and Italy....   something's 'rubbed off' as our eldest now has an MA in Art History!

I have loved the opportunity to do this devotional painting - inspired by the Byzantine.
